Refrigerator Sizes Styles.
Refrigerator sizes are calculated by the capacity off the storage space available in the freezer unit as well as the general cooling compartment and is generally expressed in cubic feet. Depending on the style that you choose there are also other dimensions that you will have to consider before purchasing a unit.
There are four standard refrigerator sizes styles that are available in the general market. A standard size refrigerator is the typical size of refrigerator that is used by most families.

- Bottom freezer.

Bottom Freezer Refrigerators: (The first of the refrigerator sizes)
As the name implies, this type of freezer have the fridge portion on top with the freezer at the bottom. An advantage of this is that you do not have to bend down to see your normal grocery items like milk, cheese and fresh vegetables.

- Width: Generally somewhere between 29 inches and 36 inches in width.
- Height: Between 62 inches and 69 inches in height.
- Depth: Roughly 26 to 28 inches in depth.
Some of the bottom freezers also have an ice maker and water dispenser that is easily accessible in a normal standing position. It is notable that this type of refrigerator is generally more expensive than top mounts.
Top Freezer Refrigerators: (The second of the refrigerator sizes)
Many people prefer to have a refrigerator with the freezer unit at the top and the normal fridge unit at the bottom. The top mount refrigerator has an eye level freezer and is the most common fridge on the market. The sizes are very similar than bottom freezers.

- Width: Generally between 29 inches and 36 inches in width.
- Height: Between 62 inches and 69 inches in height.
- Depth: Roughly 26 to 28 inches in depth.
This standard fridge size although large enough for a medium size family, will not provide a lot of extra capacity. These units can be a good choice, if you do not purchase large amounts of groceries at once.
Side-by-Side Refrigerators. (The third of the refrigerator sizes)
On the side by side refrigerators, the fridge and freezer compartments are adjacent to each other, allowing you easy access to each side. Although you might expect this to mean that these units are wider than top mounted freezer units, the individual compartments are usually quite narrow.

- Width: Generally between 32 inches and 37 inches in width.
- Height: Between 65 inches and 70 inches in height.
- Depth: Roughly 28 to 30 inches in depth.
French door refrigerators. (The last of the refrigerator sizes)
These freezers has become very popularity in the last few years. It is also called a double door or bottom freezer mount
refrigerator. The unique design of the double door refrigerator on the top and the pull out freezer drawer on the bottom is quickly becoming a favourite due to ease of access to both areas.
Width wise it has all the advantages of bottom freezer refrigerators, and the divided door of side by side refrigerators which provide the ability for features like an in-door icemaker or filtered water dispenser.
These models can vary greatly in quality and features depending on the brand you choose. Most, if not all, manufacturers make the French Door Style Refrigerator and they range widely in both price and features.
The French Door may be the choice for you if you prefer the space of a bottom freezer fridge, and the wide storage of a side by side unit.
